Warning: Article May Be Truthful

Have you noticed how many warning labels are on products? It seems marketers believe that our intelligence is at an all time low. I read about a contest that where people were asked to submit the wackiest warning label. Among the top finishers were a three hook fishing lure with the label “Harmful if swallowed” and a 12-inch-high storage rack for compact disks which warns: "Do not use as a ladder." The retailers put wacky labels on the products because of the fear that someone will sue the company because they were not warned of the dangers.
Many people use the same argument with God and his punishment of sinners. They will claim that they never knew the dangers of living apart from God. But scripture has an answer for them. In Romans 1:18-20 we read,” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” God has shown us his power and glory in his creation. God has labeled his creation with his qualities. No one that has seen a mountain,  felt the power of a storm or heard the thunder of the ocean can then truthfully say that the creator of these wonders is not worth listening to. Those that claim ignorance just didn’t read the label.
