Oh, The Humanity!!!!

Windsor, Ontario hair stylist Waddah Mustapha was awarded the equivalent of about $270,000 by a court after he testified that he became racked with depression upon seeing a fly inside a commercial bottle of water at his salon. Presumably, damages would have been more if Mustapha had actually drunk from the bottle (or even opened it). As it was, he required extensive psychotherapy for nightmares, loss of sense of humor, increased argumentativeness, lack of desire to shower regularly, and constipation. Poor fellow! I bet he knows exactly how Job felt!
ms d be given  All kidding aside, it seems some people will stop at nothing to find something to blame for their problems. Unfortunately, I have seen this mentality in the Lord’s church. Folks will use any excuse for being unfaithful. They will blame their absence on the person that “took” their pew or a perceived insult from the preacher. It seems the excuse does not even need to make sense, as long as you have one. Even if the excuse is a valid concern, like a fly in the water bottle, they make more of it than is reasonable. Unfortunately for them, when they are faced with God’s final judgment, he (unlike the Ontario court) will not be fooled by their pitiful excuses.
