And The Winner Is..

  A minister came across two boys standing around a stray dog. He asked the boys what they were up to. One of the boys responded, “Telling lies. The one that tells the biggest lie gets to keep the dog.” The shocked minister responded, “I can’t believe you boys! When I was your age, I would have never thought of telling a lie” The boys looked at each other, shrugged and said, “Well, I guess he gets the dog”.

  In 1 John 1:8-10 we read, “If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”  The church is not a place of people that have not sinned. Rather, it is a place of forgiven people. Those that deny their sins are doomed to repeat them.
